My New Ugg Boot Friends
It wasn’t that long ago that I finally took out my credit card and paid a good price for a pair of Ugg Boots. Now I’m not the real girly type who wears lipstick and short dresses all the time, usually you’ll find me in a pair of blue jeans. However, visiting my friend in college over the Easter weekend opened up my eyes to a cool new line of boots.
What makes these Ugg brand boots different is how much they weigh. It’s like being barefoot but with comfort and protection. These boots are warmer than their suede counterparts because the sheepskin keeps the cold out better. The rubber bottoms are crafted from this really lightweight rubber and seem to conform perfectly to my feet.
Since me and my friend wear the same size shoe, she let me wear them out one night, right over my jeans. A nice flower top with puffy sleeves and I have to tell you I looked good. What impressed me the most was the comfort of these boots. The next morning I grabbed them, put them back on and told her I would give her money for these, and she could go buy another pair.
Imagine the scene, me and Linda having a tug of war with one of the boots, after she successfully wrestled the boot away from me, she swatted me with it across the arm. We must have laughed for over five minute over how stupid we must have looked. I immediately got on her computer and ordered the same exact pair that we were fighting over. This should end our fighting. And with so many outfit combinations that these boots work with, we don’t have to worry about being out with the same boots on, no one even notices because the rest of our outfits are so different.
Time has passed since I went and visited my dear friend Linda, we still laugh over the Ugg Boot tug of war. Both of us are still wearing our boots too. I guess it was Linda who turned me on to Ugg Boots and now I’m afraid that there is no turning me off. For right now, as long as they are still made, I’ll keep buying. The Internet has really saved us, there isn’t anywhere in town where I can get them, but online there’s hundreds of stores that sell them, I can get Uggs for cheap. I hear my laptop calling, and my credit card too.
