A Guide To Achieve White Teeth

One of the more popular methods of cosmetic enhancement is having the teeth whitened. When this idea first came out, you would go to your dentist and have the procedure but today you can buy products that give you white teeth from the very affordable over the counter whitening strips to the more expensive tooth whitening kits. However whatever method you choose, the key is having a delivery system that effectively works. Most teeth whiteners take the form of a gel that is placed on your teeth. The idea is that the product should be held in place next to the teeth it to work. What does that is the delivery system. A delivery system can be a dental tray or a moulded impression of your teeth, whitening strips, and whitening toothpaste.

The first type of delivery to whiten teeth is the use of dental trays which are dental impressions of your own teeth. The idea here is to wear the tray overnight just like a mouthpiece that athletes use to get the maximum results. You will place a small amount of the bleaching agent on the part of the mould that comes in direct contact with the front surfaces of the teeth.

Another method of delivery which is popular but less effective because it takes a long time and longer use for your teeth to whiten are whitening strips. These strips are teeth whitening tapes that you can only place on the front teeth as a result on the part that the tape comes in contact with become white while all the other teeth remain their colour. This can look unsightly especially if you are the type who wears a wide toothed smile. However, when compared to dental trays and moulds strips are more comfortable and quite easy to use.

Dental floss is a bundle of soft thread used to remove plaque or other food debris in between teeth. Whitening floss is simply an improved version of the ordinary dental floss in that it is coated with a mild abrasive which is typically silica. It is good to use It does seem an unlikely tooth whitening method but over time, using this can assist you not only in maintaining white teeth.

Of the delivery methods mentioned the most effective delivery system is the use of dental trays. And then there are two type of dental trays. One is the commercially available tray that you can find in tooth whitening kits. A kit contains a strip of mould that you will have to submerge first in hot water then placed in the mouth to form a perfect mould of your teeth. The downside of this is there are times when you make a mistake and end up with an ill fitting mould that is uncomfortable. A better idea is to have a custom tray made for you by your dentist. He will make an impression of your entire teeth that will surely fit your mouth perfectly which will allow the bleaching agent to come in contact with all of your teeth. The downside of this is that you will have to wait for your dental impression which generally takes around 2 days. But no worry having the end result of a beaming smile with white teeth are well worth it.
